Aston Martin Vantage vs DB12

Both have a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG with an eight-speed automatic gearbox (the Vantage was briefly offered with a manual too). The Vantage arrived in 2018 with 510 PS and was heavily reworked in 2024, with 665 PS and a new interior; the V12 Vantage (2022) had 700 PS and was limited to 333 coupés. The DB12 replaced the DB11 in 2023, with 680 PS, 800 Nm, rear-wheel drive and an all-new infotainment system. Both come as a coupé and as a convertible: the Vantage Roadster (2020) and the DB12 Volante (2023).

Going by asking prices, the Vantage is the cheaper of the two: on 6 October 2026 its median asking price was €168,000, against €250,000 for the DB12, about 33% less. Those medians cover 380 cars for sale for the Vantage and 171 for the DB12; within each model, the price depends on the version, year and mileage.

Of the cars on AutoScout24 that sold in the last 90 days, the Vantage was online for a median of 62 days (58 sold) and the DB12 for 64 days (37 sold). They sell about equally fast. A car counts as sold when its listing disappears; the last asking price is not necessarily what it sold for.
