About the Aston Martin Vantage

This generation of the Aston Martin Vantage arrived in 2018 with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG, good for 510 PS, and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The Roadster followed in 2020, and for a short time a seven-speed manual was offered too, first in the 2019 Vantage AMR.

Special editions include the F1 Edition (2021, 535 PS) and the V12 Vantage (2022), a 700 PS twin-turbo V12 limited to 333 coupés. In 2024 the Vantage was heavily reworked, with 665 PS and a new interior. Its predecessor has its own page: the Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2005–2018).

What to check when buying an Aston Martin Vantage

  • Pre-2024 cars use an older, Mercedes-derived infotainment system; the 2024 update brought a new interior, a touchscreen and much more power.
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes were optional; they last longer but are expensive to replace.
  • Check the service history with an Aston Martin dealer and whether the car can join the Aston Martin Timeless certified pre-owned programme.
  • On limited editions such as the V12 Vantage and the F1 Edition, ask for the build documentation and check that the specification matches.
