About the Bugatti Veyron

The Veyron 16.4 (2005–2015) reset the supercar scale: an 8.0-litre W16 with four turbochargers, 1,001 PS, permanent all-wheel drive, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a top speed of 407 km/h.

Bugatti built 450 Veyrons: 300 coupés, including the 1,200 PS Super Sport, and 150 Grand Sport roadsters, including the 1,200 PS Grand Sport Vitesse. Its successor is the Bugatti Chiron (2016).

What to check when buying a Bugatti Veyron

  • Running costs are in a league of their own: tyres, wheels and the annual service cost many times more than on other supercars. Ask for the complete Bugatti service record.
  • The tyres have to be replaced at fixed intervals whatever the mileage; check when they were last changed.
  • Low mileage is not automatically good news: a car that has stood still still needs fresh fluids, seals and tyres.
