What we process and why
When you visit the site
Our host Vercel processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site against abuse. The request logs we can see are kept for at most one day.
To keep the site fast, Vercel Speed Insights measures loading times on about one in five page views. It records the page, browser, device type, operating system, network speed and country, without cookies and without anything that identifies you or links your page views together.
When you click through to a listing, we count the click: which listing, which portal, on which page, and the country the visit came from. We don't store your IP address, browser or a cookie with it, so a click can't be traced back to you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, fast site and in knowing which listings are used (article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you create an account
With an account we store your email address and password (as a hash, never as plain text), and what you save: favourite cars, your lists and the cars you marked as seen. We need these to provide the account (article 6(1)(b) GDPR). When you register, Supabase sends the confirmation email for us.
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Email alexander@driveyart.com from the address you registered with, and we delete the account and everything saved with it.
Sellers in the listings
Driveyart shows listings from mobile.de, AutoScout24, AutoScout24.ch and PistonHeads. From each public listing we take the details and price of the car, the town or region, the seller's name as the portal shows it and the link to the original advert. For private sellers, Driveyartshows no name. The photos load straight from the portal; we only store the links to them. We don't take contact names, phone numbers, street addresses or the seller's own description.
We use this to offer one search across the portals and to calculate market figures such as median prices and time to sell. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in giving buyers an overview of the market (article 6(1)(f) GDPR). When a listing goes offline, we keep it for the market figures; the site then shows it as offline, without its photos. If you are a seller and want your details removed, email alexander@driveyart.com.
When you email us
We use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as that takes.
Cookies and local storage
Driveyart uses no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. What the site does store in your browser:
- A sign-in cookie, only when you sign in, so you stay signed in.
- Your choice of list view and the destination country in the import cost calculator, in local storage, so the site remembers them on your next visit.
Other services your browser contacts
Some parts of a page load directly from other services. Like any website you visit, they see your IP address:
- Photos of listings, from the servers of the portals.
- The map, from OpenFreeMap.
When you click through to a listing, you leave Driveyart and the privacy policy of the portal applies.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel Inc. hosts the site, on servers in Dublin, Ireland.
- Supabase Inc. runs the database and the sign-in, on servers in Ireland.
Both are US companies. Their data processing terms include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for any access from outside the EU. We don't sell personal data, don't use it for advertising and don't make automated decisions about you.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive your account data in a format you can reuse. Email alexander@driveyart.com; we answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
