Asking prices of the cars listed on Driveyart on 7 October 2026, collected from mobile.de, AutoScout24, AutoScout24.ch and PistonHeads; cars with price on application are left out. The year is the year of first registration; years with fewer than 3 cars for sale are left out. A car counts as sold when its listing disappears after at least 3 days online and does not come back at the same seller within a month; its last asking price is not necessarily what it sold for. Days to sell come from AutoScout24 and PistonHeads, the portals that show when a listing went online.

About the Porsche 991
The 991 is the seventh generation of the 911. It was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 15 September 2011 as the replacement for the 997. The first series (991.1) kept naturally aspirated engines: a 3.4-litre flat-six with 350 PS in the Carrera and a 3.8-litre with 400 PS in the Carrera S, with a seven-speed manual or seven-speed PDK gearbox. The Targa returned in 2014 with its roll bar and glass rear window, and the Carrera GTS (2014) has 430 PS.
The facelifted 991.2, shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, gave the Carrera models a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six, the first turbocharged engine in a base 911: 370 PS in the Carrera, 420 PS in the Carrera S and 450 PS in the GTS. The Carrera T (2017) combines the base engine with a lighter, sportier specification. The Turbo and Turbo S use a 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine with 520 and 560 PS, and 540 and 580 PS on the 991.2.
The GT3 arrived in 2013 with a 3.8-litre engine and 475 PS; the 991.2 GT3 (2017) has a 4.0-litre with 500 PS. The GT3 RS has 500 PS (2015) and 520 PS (2018), and the GT2 RS (2017, 700 PS) lapped the Nürburgring in 6:47.3. Limited editions include the 911 R (2016, 991 cars, manual only), the Turbo S Exclusive Series (2017, 500 cars, 607 PS) and the Speedster (2019, 1,948 cars, 510 PS). Production ended on 20 December 2019 after 233,540 cars; the 992 followed.
What to check when buying a Porsche 991
- Check whether a car is a 991.1 or a 991.2: the 991.1 Carrera and Carrera S have naturally aspirated 3.4- and 3.8-litre engines, the 991.2 a 3.0-litre twin-turbo. The 991.2 was shown in September 2015, so a car registered in 2015 or 2016 can be either; listings often say "991.1" or "991.2" or give the engine size.
- On an early 991.1 GT3, check that the engine was replaced: after two cars caught fire, Porsche recalled all 785 GT3s built by March 2014 for a new engine. A Porsche Centre can check this.
- The 991.1 GT3 was only offered with PDK. The 991.2 GT3 and GT3 Touring were also available with a six-speed manual, and the 911 R was manual only.
- On a GT3, GT3 RS or GT2 RS, ask about track use and check the tyres, brakes and service history.
- A Porsche Approved warranty and a full service history at a Porsche Centre add a lot of confidence.
