A car counts as sold when its listing disappears after at least 3 days online and does not come back at the same seller within a month; its last asking price is not necessarily what it sold for. Days to sell come from AutoScout24 and PistonHeads, the portals that show when a listing went online.

About the McLaren Senna

The Senna (2018–2019) is a road-legal track car in McLaren's Ultimate Series, named after the Formula One champion Ayrton Senna. It was revealed online in December 2017 and shown at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. McLaren built 500, at a UK price of £750,000, followed by 75 track-only Senna GTRs.

Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 makes 800 PS and 800 Nm. The car is built around a carbon-fibre MonoCage III monocoque and weighs 1,198 kg dry. McLaren quoted 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h. Later came 35 Senna LMs with 825 PS. Other Ultimate Series cars are the hybrid P1 and the Speedtail.

What to check when buying a McLaren Senna

  • Check that the recalls have been done: one for a foam pad under the fuel tank that can hold moisture and corrode the tank, one for an engine wiring harness that can chafe on a heat shield.
  • Many Sennas have been driven on track. Check the tyres, brakes, underbody and front splitter for wear or damage.
  • Ask for a full McLaren service history and a pre-purchase inspection by a McLaren specialist.
  • Compare the specification and not only the price: options and McLaren Special Operations (MSO) personalisation vary a lot from car to car.
