About the Lamborghini Huracán

The Huracán (2014–2024) replaced the Gallardo as Lamborghini's V10 supercar. Every version has a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it shares its basic structure and engine family with the second-generation Audi R8.

The range started with the all-wheel-drive LP 610-4 (610 PS) and the rear-wheel-drive LP 580-2. The Performante (2017) added active aerodynamics and 640 PS, which the EVO (2019) brought to the regular car. The rear-wheel-drive STO and Tecnica were the last hard-edged versions, and the off-road Sterrato closed the run. Its successor is the Temerario (2024).

What to check when buying a Lamborghini Huracán

  • Know which version you are looking at: the LP 610-4, LP 580-2, EVO, Performante, STO and Tecnica differ a lot in power, drivetrain and value.
  • A front-axle lift is a common option and worth having; check that it works.
  • Ask for the service history of the dual-clutch gearbox, and look for a Lamborghini Selezione certificate or an extended warranty.
  • Check the splitter and underside for scrapes, and look closely at tyres and brakes on a Performante or STO that may have done track days.
