About the Ferrari F8 Tributo

The F8 Tributo (2019–2023) replaced the 488 GTB and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. Its 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, the engine of the 488 Pista, makes 720 PS at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm, and drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Ferrari quoted 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 7.6 seconds and 340 km/h.

Downforce is 15 percent higher than on the 488 GTB. Recognisable details are the four rear lights and the Lexan engine cover. The Side Slip Angle Control system includes the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, which manages drifts in Race mode. The open F8 Spider, with a folding hard top, followed in September 2019. Production ended in 2023 (the Tributo in April, the Spider in May); the 296 GTB took its place.

What to check when buying a Ferrari F8 Tributo

  • Some listings give 710 hp: that is the same 720 PS in another unit.
  • Ferrari's seven-year Genuine Maintenance programme passes to the next owner; check how much of it is left and ask for the service history at a Ferrari dealer.
  • Options vary widely between cars, carbon-fibre parts for example, so compare the specification and not only the price and mileage.
  • Check whether it is the coupé or the F8 Spider. The Spider's folding hard top opens in 14 seconds at up to 45 km/h; operate it several times and check the seals.
