About the McLaren Artura

The Artura (from 2022) replaced the 570S. It is built on McLaren's carbon-fibre MCLA architecture and is a plug-in hybrid: a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with a 120° angle between the cylinder banks (585 PS) and an electric motor (95 PS) give a combined 680 PS. The eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox has no reverse gear; the electric motor reverses the car. McLaren quoted a top speed of 330 km/h.

The 7.4 kWh battery gives about 31 km of electric range. The open Artura Spider arrived for model year 2025, with a retractable hard top that opens in 11 seconds at up to 50 km/h. At the same time the V6 gained 20 PS, so the coupé and the Spider of that model year have 700 PS.

What to check when buying a McLaren Artura

  • Check whether it is a coupé or a Spider, and the model year: cars from model year 2025 have 700 PS instead of 680 PS.
  • Some listings give 585 PS (605 PS from model year 2025): that is the V6 on its own. The combined output is 680 or 700 PS.
  • The Artura is a plug-in hybrid: ask about the condition of the high-voltage battery.
  • Ask for the service history with a McLaren dealer and how much of the factory warranty is left.
