About the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari

The Enzo Ferrari (2002–2004), named after the company's founder, was Ferrari's hypercar of the early 2000s and carried over lessons from Formula 1. It has a carbon-fibre tub, a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 with 660 PS and an automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters. Its claimed top speed is 350 km/h.

Ferrari built 399 for customers and one more, which it donated to Pope John Paul II. It followed the F50, and its engine formed the basis for the V12 in later Ferraris. The hybrid LaFerrari was its successor in 2013.

What to check when buying a Ferrari Enzo Ferrari

  • Buy on history: with so few cars, each one is known by its chassis number; ask for the full ownership and service records.
  • Ferrari Classiche certification confirms that the car is original and helps when selling.
  • Ask when the clutch, the fuel cells and the tyres were last replaced; age matters as much as mileage on low-use cars.
  • Check the carbon bodywork and tub for signs of repair; any damage history has a large effect on value.
