About the Ferrari Purosangue

The Purosangue is Ferrari's first car with four doors and four full-size seats. It was revealed in 2022, with customer deliveries from 2023. Ferrari avoids the word SUV, but it has a raised ride height, all-wheel drive and rear-hinged rear doors.

Under the long bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 with 725 PS, mounted behind the front axle and paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox at the rear. Active suspension keeps the body flat in corners. Ferrari has said the Purosangue will stay a small share of its production, which is why used prices have often been above list price.

What to check when buying a Ferrari Purosangue

  • Options make a big difference to the price: compare the specification line by line, not just the mileage.
  • Ferrari's seven-year maintenance programme stays with the car; check how much of it is left and whether the factory warranty can be extended.
  • Ask for the delivery date and the service record from an official Ferrari dealer, and confirm that all software updates and recalls have been done.
  • Check the wheels and the underside for kerb and road damage: the large wheels and low-profile tyres are expensive to replace.
